When is the best time to start flying? Whether it is the middle of winter, the end of summer, or anything in between, the best time to begin your flight training is now! General aviation is a year-round activity, and good flying days are plentiful in all seasons.

Are there any age limits on flight training? There are no age limitations on when you may begin flight training. However, in order to obtain the medical certificate necessary for solo flight, you must be at least 16 years old, and at least 17 years old to obtain the Private Pilot's License.

What written and flight tests are necessary to become a pilot? Before you solo, you will be administered a "pre-solo written exam" by your instructor. To obtain the Private Pilot's License, you must pass a 60-question FAA written examination, and an oral and practical examination with a FAA designated examiner.

Are there any medical requirements for becoming a pilot? A medical certificate is required prior to solo flight and is necessary to become a private pilot. While it is rare that applicants are not able to obtain their medical, there are certain conditions that may require additional testing or possibly disqualify an applicant from receiving a medical certificate. Do I need a special insurance to become a pilot? No, you do not. However, there are many companies which do specialize in aviation insurance. Additionally, all Cessna Pilot Centers (CPCs) carry $1 Million in insurance to protect you during training.

How long will it take me to obtain my pilot's license? The amount of time it takes a student to complete Private Pilot training depends largely on the frequency of flying lessons and the individual's progress. The minimum requirement by the FAA is 40 hours; however, the national average is closer to 75 hours. Additionally, students who train at Cessna Pilot Centers (CPCs) like Cindtronix have been found to complete their training in 28% less time than the national average (approximately 54 hours)!

What is the difference between Cindtronix (a Cessna Pilot Center) and other flight schools? Cindtronix is an authorized Cessna Pilot Center (CPC), a distinction given only to schools with quality, professional flight training. Our modern facilities are second to none: clean, quiet and spacious, including a separate classroom area with four student stations and room for group instruction. CPC students have been shown to complete their pilot's certificate in 28% less time than the national average, saving you both time and thousands of dollars. We offer a complete range of flight training services, training everyone from Private Pilots to Airline Transport Pilots, all in technically advanced aircraft.

If I live outside the U.S., will I be able to train at Cindtronix? Yes. See here for details.
Is flying difficult to learn? No, flying an aircraft is actually quite simple and intuitive. Even on your very first lesson you will have control of the aircraft with help from your flight instructor.

Is flying safe? At Cindtronix, safety is our number one priority. All our aircraft are meticulously maintained, and undergo constant inspections.

When will I begin to fly solo? There is no hour requirement for solo flight, however, you will begin solo flights once your instructor determines that you have completed all the required training items and that you are able to safely operate the aircraft.

What is a "glass cockpit" (G1000) and what does it mean for me and my training? Our G1000 glass-cockpit aircraft are equipped the G1000 system, consolidating all primary flight, navigation, and engine information onto two crisp, 10" LCD displays. The G1000 affords all pilots with the ultimate situational awareness and safety.

How much does it cost to become a pilot? The average training time for CPC private pilot students is 54 hours, which equates to about $8,000. We are committed to helping our students reach their goals of flight; therefore, we offer a multitude of payment and financing options available, allowing you to afford your dream of becoming a pilot.
