Why Cindtronix?

With our company-wide focus on customer service and safety, Cindtronix has been the choice flight school for professional flight training, both of local and international students from all aviation backgrounds. Several things make our flight school unique:
Brand new aircraft. We are New England's only Part 141 flight school operating a fleet of all new G1000 aircraft. Our popular C172 is the ideal platform for learning basic flying skills. In addition, we teach you how to operate the latest in avionics, the Garmin G1000, the industry standard used in aircraft ranging from Cessna 172's to Citation jets. Our 2005 Cessna 182T makes us RI's only school offering the high-performance endorsement.

Two convenient locations. We are one of the few schools that operates out two branches: Quonset Airport (North Kingstown, RI) and North Central Airport (Smithfield, RI), making us easily and quickly accessible for students throughout RI, MA, and CT. (In Spring 2010, our Quonset location will be moving onto the second floor of the new Landmark Aviation facility, a state-of-the-art building equipped with multiple dedicated ground school rooms, flight briefing and dispatch areas, simulator facilities, CATS testing, a student lounge, and even an exercise room!)

Safety Culture & Experience. The most important aspect of our team is our unwavering dedication to safety. Our new aircraft undergo inspections every 50 hours, twice as often as the FAA mandates. You will be taught by our enthusiastic team of highly qualified, FAA-certified instructors, who together bring many thousands of hours of instructional and practical aviation experience to share with you, the student.

Cessna-authorized. We are RI's only authorized Cessna Pilot Center (CPC), a distinction given by Cessna itself only to schools with quality, professional flight training. Our modern facilities are second to none: clean, quiet and spacious, including a separate classroom area with four student CBI/simulator stations and room for group instruction. We offer extensive resources, including books, videos, and simulators, at no extra charge to our students.

In fact, CPC students have been shown to receive their pilot's certificate in 28% less time than the national average, saving you both time and thousands of dollars. Each CPC carries $1 million in aviation insurance to protect you throughout your training.

FAA Part 141 Certified

Cindtronix is one of only a few schools in New England operating under Part 141 regulations. What does this mean for our students? Flight schools can operate under either Part 61 or Part 141 regulations. Part 141 flight schools like Cindtronix, however, must meet stringent aircraft equipment, facility, personnel, and curriculum requirements by the FAA.

What are the advantages to training under Part 141?
  • Streamlined and structured training. Our syllabi are approved by the FAA. We record all details of your training progress through our Cessna CMM program, monitor your progress throughout our program.
  • Progressive flight checks. We will ensure that you are progressing steadily through our program by means of periodic evaluations by our chief flight instructor.
  • Costs. Because of the additional FAA oversight on training quality, Part 141 students can earn their certificates in less time, equating to thousands of dollars saved.
Certificate Other Part 61 School Requirements Cindtronix
    Part 141 Requirements
Private Pilot Certificate 40 hours 35 hours
Instrument Rating 50 hours cross-country PIC No cross-country PIC requirements
Commercial Pilot Certificate 250 hours 190 hours
  • For example, instrument students are not required to log the 50 hours of cross country PIC time required by Part 61, saving you upwards of $7,500. Private pilots are only required to log only 35 hours, and commercial pilots only 190 hours.
  • These lowered requirements are a direct result of the quality of training ensured by training at a Part 141 school.
